This is SO good …

Who doesn’t like to read good news? For my fellow writers this post will be an affirmation for all the time we spend working at our craft and being swallowed up in the netherworld of  social media.

For everyone else it will simply be a story that will make you smile and feel happy for this young writer, Torre DeRoche. You’re going to want to burst into applause, cheer and yell  … really … it’s that good!

I first happened upon Torre’s website  www.FearfulAdventurer in October and was so touched by one of her posts that, with her permission, I reposted it here on October 25 along with a brief interview.

Her writing is smart, funny,  and sensitive.  Her observations are hilarious one moment and poignant the next. Does she have a voice!!! Every time I read one of her posts I thought of our Fearless Social Media Leader Kristen Lamb and how Torre would have been her star student because she does everything Kristen advocates. Yup, every single thing.

There’s no question in my mind Torre DeRoche has a bright future and it’s beginning right now with  her every-writer’s-dream-come-true moment. I’m so glad I got to see this happen and you can bet I’ll continue to follow her story.

Click here to read her news.

Whether you are an indie author or traditionally published you’re going to love this. Go on … right now … read it and get back to your WIP. You’ll be inspired … motivated … it could happen to you!

Happy Thanksgiving this week to our American friends!

Patricia Sands lives in Toronto, Canada when she isn't somewhere else, particularly the south of France. With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! Check out her website She is particularly drawn to the rewarding friendships of women and the challenges many embrace once their families are grown. "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

  1. What an amazing story! What a voice too. I like that she’s so incredibly humble. What a whirlwind of emotions she has to be facing too I hope Ashton reads her book! Judging by what’s happened so far, t’s entirely possibly he will. Thanks Patricia.

  2. I love Torre’s story — it is not only inspiring but it clearly shows how much the publishing industry is changing, and that some fabulous opportunities are out there for those who work hard and are serious about their writing careers.

It's always good to hear to from you!
