The photo theme on Ailsa’s fabulous Where’s My Backpack travel blog is simply RED. My mind immediately turned to one of my visits in the south of Spain with my beautiful, crazy (in the best way), smart, adventurous sister-in-law … who went for a one-week holiday in Andalucia and is still there 23 years later …
And speaking of SIMPLY RED … those two words brought back memories of two of my favourite golden oldies from the 1980’s. Tracks 2 and 3 here. Remember? Sloooow dancing recommended.
Patricia Sands lives in Toronto, Canada when she isn't somewhere else, particularly the south of France. With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! Check out her website www.patriciasandsauthor.com She is particularly drawn to the rewarding friendships of women and the challenges many embrace once their families are grown. "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

Great photos, great music and a great post as always. The pomegranates are positively lush.
Yummy!!! Pomegranates are delicious :). And as for the song, you brought back so many memories for me. I almost felt choked up watching the video because it took me back to the early years with my hubby when we were just starting our life together. Wow, there were some great songs back then :).

…and did you know that the word “Granada” means pomegranate in Spanish? Hence the city of Granada named after it’s wonderful trees 🙂
Great theme, ‘Simply Red!’

How gorgeous. I remember the first time I tried to eat a pomegranate. Not gorgeous but it makes me smile! Thanks.
Simply YUM!
You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pomegranate tree. Very pretty. I always love your pictures, Patricia.
