Or should I say coloUr? It just depends where you live, eh?
The weekly photo challenge from The Daily Post had me flipping through my photo library and sinking into delicious shades of fuchsias, greens, yellows, blues, to mention a few of my favourite colourful shots.
Something was nagging away at me the entire time and it soon became clear that the way colour calls out to me in the most resounding and boisterous way is the in combination and vibrancy of hues, shades and pigments that speak to me – particularly in the south of France. I know, I know … I’m hopeless …
As the Billie Holiday song goes, “I’ve got it bad and that ain’t good.”
This is what I mean:

How do you feel about colour/color? Do you prefer to lose yourself in the depths of intensity of a single colour or is your eye more drawn to the busier combinations? Or is your interpretation something completely different? You are going to love visiting some of these other sites. Here are a few of my faves. Visit the Weekly Photo Challenge page for more.

Gorgeous photos Patricia!
Gorgeous, Patricia. I snuck a snapshot of coloUrful local women in a flower booth on Pentaling Street in Kuala Lampur. Vibrant smiles, and vibrant colours in their dress and in the carnations, roses and more surrounding them. One of my favoUrites.
Awesome pictures! Can’t wait for the Promise of Provence
Your book cover fits into the “colour” theme perfectly.
Lovely vibrant colours!
Thanks, Sue. How are you doing?
You nailed it! Love the mood.
Thanks! There’s just so much to observe around us, isn’t there? I could have added so many more! Those brooms always intrigue me.
You clearly have an eye for color. Lovely images. My eye is more focused on a spot on the ground. I am more of a black, white and grey scale-type.
Great pictures and gorgeous colours.
Thanks, Niamh. Nice to see you here and I’ve been enjoying your poetry even when I haven’t commented. It’s only been because of a shortage of time, not a shortage of interest.
Beautiful coloful pictures! Stained glass is amazing. Also love that waterfront pic. Wish I lived there!
I love the colors in your images!! Stunning work~
