Got an hour? It’s worth it!

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

I’m deep in my writing cave with some self-imposed deadlines, but I simply could not miss sharing this wonderful video with you.  I discovered it thanks to the über-magnifique Ida Young-Bondi, french instructor extraordinaire and founder of the E-French Café.

The French Riviera: A History of Pictures is a series produced by the BBC.  Richard E Grant follows in the footsteps of artists who have lived, loved and painted on France’s Cote d’Azur. Enjoy Part 1 here!

A glass or two of wine would be a fine accompaniment and be sure to put this on full screen.

Part 2 is also available on YouTube, when you have the time! Bon weekend!

Patricia Sands lives in Toronto, Canada when she isn't somewhere else, particularly the south of France. With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! Check out her website www.patriciasandsauthor.com She is particularly drawn to the rewarding friendships of women and the challenges many embrace once their families are grown. "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

      1. I have all the time in the world, and I enjoy being able to look at these wonderful places. They also bring back so many good memories of my temps perdu… Merci!!!!

    1. Fabulous! I’m sorry our timing is off or we could have met for a beverage somewhere! If you are in Antibes, pop in and say hello to Heidi in the English Bookstore!

    1. I’m not surprised! Good luck with your Acte Finale ~ take away no regrets and a wealth of fine memories. Onward! Of course, you may always come back and watch … you will enjoy it when you are ready!
      Bonne courage!

  1. I’m watching this fantastic video in 4 segments. It’s my treat in between editing my book. Thanks for sharing it. I never would have thought to look for it myself but am thoroughly enjoying it!

  2. You find some really good stuff. I watched some and will pick it up when I have extra time.

  3. I can relate to your self-imposed deadlines, I am on my own (final galley reading and finishing a novel.. it’s a tough gig having a day job and the writing passion). Anyho, the video was exactly what I needed today. Thanks, btw, for your wonderful comments on my own blog.

    1. I have so much respect for the writer with the day job! I don’t think I could have attempted both. That’s one of the benefits to getting to my age … but don’t rush it! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and it is my distinct pleasure to comment on your blog. You’re a talented writer!
