Pack your bags and come to France!

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

PLEASE NOTE:  This trip has been temporarily postponed as Uniglobe Instant Travel in London, ON, was taken over by another company on February 1st.

The good news is that another fabulous women’s travel group is working with us and we hope to have the trip rescheduled in the near future. Thanks for all the interest and support and as soon as I have the details I will let you know. We ARE going to do this so I am leaving this post up as an invitation to join us soon!

Happy New Year! Meilleurs Voeux Pour L’année 2013!

Is this the year that you and your best girlfriend, your daughter, your sister and/or your mom take a trip to the south of France? Or perhaps your entire book club?  Seriously, it just might be!

Spend the first four days in the captivating town of Nice in the beautiful Hotel La Perouse overlooking La Promenade Des Anglais and the magnificent Mediterranean. With plenty of time to shop and explore, we will also visit galleries and bookstores and have a chat with author Ted Jones. I’m already excited!

Patricia Sands lives in Toronto, Canada when she isn't somewhere else, particularly the south of France. With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! Check out her website www.patriciasandsauthor.com She is particularly drawn to the rewarding friendships of women and the challenges many embrace once their families are grown. "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

    1. LOL – I’m always wishing that. Oddly enough, we had already made plans to spend a month there so we will go a month before the tour. It’s another home exchange in Nice that has worked out perfectly. Love those exchanges! Have you ever considered one?

    1. Le sigh, indeed! Va bene! It’s hard to choose between those two countries but I have to admit France owns my heart. I think I was born there a few centuries ago … the connection is spookily strong …

  1. sounds like a wonderful trip! we just planned a weekend trip to Paris that I’m really looking forward to 🙂

  2. Beautiful! I had the opportunity to study abroad in college. I went to Rome, Italy. For spring break I headed to Nice. And as soon as my program ended, I headed back. Stopping by from Susie’s party.

  3. Gorgeous! My cousin’s husband is from Marseilles. His parents still live there 6 months out of the year. Her pictures from their time living there are beautiful as well. I really do think I’d love to go there sometime…(best brush up on my French!)

    1. Oh hi there! That Susie is just the best, isn’t she? Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year to you too! I’ll be popping over to your blog shortly. This is just so much fun!

      1. Yes, it is. I’m a newbie blogger since October and have met some nice people out there!

  4. Absolutely breathtaking! I visited Monte Carlo a few years ago for a short day trip, but I would love to explore the picturesque Nice. Thanks for sharing for Susie’s party, Patricia!

  5. Antibes is my favourite South-Of-France town. I was lucky enough to stay on a yacht there many years ago and made daily trips to the market where they sold the most fabulous selection of cheeses ever eaten! Wonder if they still do?

  6. Hi, just these pictures have brought back memories of a fab short break I had with one of my friends in Nice. We were both so burnt out from work at the time that we would get up every day, get some cake for breakfast, slob out on the beach all day reading, occasionally grunting “you ok?” at each other every so often. Then at about 6pm we’d go to a bar with the intention of a quick beer before going back to the hotel to change for a night out but which every night turned into a few beers and some food before collapsing into our hotel for long sleeps before starting the routine all over again. It was what we needed which was a lovely rest! And if anyone ever finds a diamond ring washed up by the sea, it belongs to my friend Michelle!

This break sounds fabulous Patricia but unfortunately my 5 year old shadow would never forgive me! Maybe another time. Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories xxx

    1. What a hilarious picture you painted here! I love it! Those are the great kind of memories that last forever. Tell Michelle I’ll keep my eye out for that ring of hers. I will be in Nice with my husband for a month before the tour so there will definitely be some beach time. It’s so special there, isn’t it?

    1. Anila, thanks for connecting here! I just popped over to your blog and have bookmarked it to follow. Great info and I am a travel fanatic so always happy to find great travel sites. Merci!

It's always good to hear to from you!
