Time to celebrate!

If it’s Friday, it must be France …

Let’s start with this typical Provençal church bell to ring out the news …

It’s time to announce the lucky winners from the contest a few weeks ago for the giveaway editions of The Promise of Provence!

We made the draw on March 31st as promised using RANDOM.ORG … I ask you: what can’t be done on the internet these days? It’s so easy!

Pop the champagne cork and give us a celebratory drum roll please … TA DAAAAAAA

The winners are:

One signed print copy  – Gail R. Johnston    The print copies should be out by the end of May! Woohoo!

One ebook – Cindy Taylor           Check your mailbox in a day or so! Enjoy and thanks for entering!

One ebook- Sherry Fundin        Check your mailbox in a day or so! Enjoy and thanks for entering!

3-baloonsI was truly bowled over by the number of you entered in the giveaway! Thanks so much for your interest and we will do more of this in the future. It’s fun for all of us.

The next celebration is for my husband’s birthday today. He is always supportive, always encouraging and my biggest cheerleader. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, A.M.A.!

Okay … I’m attempting to contain my excitement … there is one more bit of news …images

The Promise of Provence is now live on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk , Amazon.co.fr as well as every other country that has an Amazon link. The Barnes & Noble link is coming soon.

(I go to that last Amazon link often to have a little thrill seeing it advertised in France!)

At the moment, only the ebook is available and for the next few days it is priced at $3.99 (US) as a thank you to all of you amazing and supportive friends. Next week the novel will be launched to the general public and the price will increase slightly. Really, I just want to send it out free to everyone on the planet but I’m being reminded that’s not the way things are done!

The print copy will be available at the end of May, although I have a proof copy sitting here next to me and smile broadly every time I look at it.

Release date-early April 2013So there you go. After two years of writing and worrying and editing and writing and stressing and editing and writing and loving it and then wondering if I really can do this and then editing and writing and loving it again and then worrying and hoping you will love it and … well … you get the picture. It’s quite a process – painful at times, joyful at many others – and the greatest reward comes from hearing from you in your reviews and e-mails.

Thank you to every single one of you for every time you have simply stopped by or clicked on “like”, left a comment, written a review, sent me an e-mail or purchased a book. Don’t ever think it goes unnoticed or is not appreciated. It truly is what makes life as a writer such a fine adventure!

With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

    1. Thanks, Anneli. You are so right about that particularly when we have so many moments when we wonder if it will truly happen! Congratulations on your new release! I’m looking forward to having you visit here soon.

  2. Congratulations Patricia and all the other winners. I am so happy to have won this book and it now sits on my Kindle waiting it’s turn to be read. I love the “painterly” cover. Thanks for the giveaway and have a great day.

    1. It was great fun doing the giveaway and I hope you enjoy the read. I know it’s not your absolutely favourite genre so will be very interested in chatting with you about the story when you are finished. Cheers!

  3. Omg, can’t wait to receive my copy! I feel so lucky! Best of luck with the sales. I will be “talking it up”! Congratulations. You are amazing!

    1. Hey Jenny! That’s very sweet of you! Thanks for stopping by. You have been incredibly busy lately and I really give you props for keeping up with the blog challenge you took on. I can’t believe you have time for anything else!

      1. Oh, I’ve made sure I don’t spend more than 15-20 mins on any one post. I can’t be blogging all the time. 🙂

For some reason, if I sit down and write 4-5 in a row, it goes quicker and better and i put them all up on one day, then just manage comments. It’s working for me…
