Patricia Sands lives in Toronto, Canada when she isn't somewhere else, particularly the south of France. With a happily blended family of seven adult children and, at last count, six grandchildren, life is full and time is short. Beginning with her first Kodak Brownie camera at the age of six, she has told stories all of her life through photography. Much to her surprise a few years ago, she began to write and has now published three novels, including two that are part of a six-book series set in the south of France. Love France? Love her work! Check out her website www.patriciasandsauthor.com She is particularly drawn to the rewarding friendships of women and the challenges many embrace once their families are grown. "It's never too late to begin something new," she enthuses. "As the saying goes, just do it!"

  9. Hello, Patricia! I’ve never been to France but would love to go. I did live in Maine for a while and the local kids shows had French segments so I may have a little brushing up to do. 😉 Your books (and travels) sound interesting! I look forward to taking a peek at them. I’ve followed you on Twitter, FB and Good Reads.

    Have a good day!

    1. Hello, Juli (cool spelling of your name!), and thanks for joining in the Hop. I was surprised to see that the Maine would have that much French influence. That’s great! Starting kids young is the best way to introduce them to another language, that’s for sure. I still take a French lesson once a week!

      1. Thank you, Patricia! 🙂 I do still get people adding an e now and then. Oh, well. Yes, the area in Maine we lived wasn’t far from Canada so they translated Sesame Street to French, I guess for them. It was interesting. I always thought starting younger would’ve been a great idea. I tried taking French in high school and …well, let’s just say I learned more on my own. 😉

    1. Yes, this is the right place, Sheila. I’m late getting my responses out because I have been off leading 12 women on a tour of the south of France. I really appreciate all the great activity we’ve had on the site. Thanks for joining in!

  10. Signed up 🙂 Also followed on FB, GR (Elisa Difino in both) and on twitter (@MagycaEUW).
Thanks for the great chance and for taking part in this fun hop 🙂

  11. MERCI MILLE FOIS, everyone! I want to answer each of you separately and will do so when I can! Being a shmoozy tour leader takes a lot of time … but it is all magnifique! Thanks for joining the HOP and bonne chance!

  12. Bon Jour Patricia: Home again and missing France already. Joining your first tour group was amazing – I have so many beautiful memories of all I saw and the companionship of our super group and of course, yourself and Susanne. The book, all over again, and you surely wrote it as it is, with romance thrown in. Thanks for making new memories for me and the others.
    Carol

    1. Dear Carol ~ I’m just getting caught up now! It was simply wonderful to meet you in person and have your lovely smile and sparkling personality brighten every day of our trip! What an amazing group! Thanks right back to you for being part of those memories.

It's always good to hear to from you!
